Private guide + car & driver in Zhangjiajie
Your own licensed guide and a private car with a professional driver — door-to-door, any route, for ¥2,000 per day.
For ¥2,000 per day your group (1–8 people) gets an officially licensed English-speaking guide plus a private car with a licensed local driver — including hotel, airport and railway pickup, fuel, tolls and parking. It is the most efficient way to combine Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain, the Glass Bridge and Fenghuang Ancient Town. Park tickets are extra at official prices. When the car is worth it
Zhangjiajie’s sights are spread across a large area: the Wulingyuan gate is minutes from Wulingyuan-town hotels, but the Forest Park main gate sits on the far side of the mountain, roughly 30–40 minutes away; Tianmen Mountain rises above the city about 40 minutes from Wulingyuan, the Glass Bridge is another 40 minutes east, and Fenghuang Ancient Town is a 1.5-hour high-speed-rail ride or a scenic drive south. Public buses connect them, but slowly and only in Chinese.
With a private car the geography stops being your problem. You leave the hotel when it suits you, nap between sights, keep your bags in the boot, and never wait for a bus that may already be full. On a two- or three-day itinerary the car can easily save several hours a day — often the difference between combining Tianmen and the Glass Bridge in one day or needing two.
It matters most for families with children, travellers with older parents, photographers chasing first light, and anyone landing at Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport or arriving at Zhangjiajie West station with luggage.

A typical car day
08:30 — hotel pickup
Your guide and driver collect you at the lobby. Tickets and timings for the day are already arranged.
Morning — the big sight
Straight to the gate that has the shortest queue that morning — forest park, Tianmen cableway or the Glass Bridge.
Lunch — where locals eat
Your guide orders real Hunan food (as spicy or as mild as you want) at a place you would never find alone.
Afternoon — second act
A second park section, Baofeng Lake, or the viewpoints you came for — resequenced live if weather or crowds change.
Evening — drop-off
Back at your hotel door, or at a night show or street-food market with your seats and table already booked.
Guide + car FAQ
Is the driver also the guide?
No — you get two professionals: a licensed guide who stays with you and a dedicated licensed driver who stays with the car. That is safer and means the car is always waiting where you exit.
Can you pick us up at Changsha instead?
The published price covers the Zhangjiajie area. Long-distance pickups (for example Changsha, about 4–5 hours by road) are possible — message us on WhatsApp and we will quote your exact route before you decide.
What car will we get?
A comfortable sedan for 1–3 travellers or a minivan for larger groups and luggage. Tell us your group size on WhatsApp and we will confirm the vehicle.
Is a day trip to Fenghuang really possible?
Yes. By car it is a long but rewarding day: leave around 08:00, walk the ancient town and the Tuojiang riverside in the afternoon, see the lights come on, and be back late evening. Many guests prefer one overnight in Fenghuang — we arrange that too.
